Excellent conceptual piece, from Lead Pencil design

You can find this ‘billboard’ somewhere near the border between the US and Vancouver. Sponsored by the federal government (#win for the gov’t), it’s a billboard advertising nothing but CLEAN AIR.

Lead Pencil Studio’s Daniel Mihalyo had this to say about the concept behind the piece:
Borrowing the effectiveness of billboards to redirect attention away from the landscape… this permanently open aperture between nations works to frame nothing more than a clear view of the changing atmospheric conditions beyond.

I fucking love it.

I’ve had this photo sitting on my desktop for a few months, wanting to write about it but forgetting who had made it. Then I had the great idea to google the image’s name, and that, of course, brought me right to the studio’s wesite, and to the pages of articles about it as well. Excellent.
